Maya: My foster kitten as a tiny baby
Doesn’t that face make you want to be a foster parent?

Chaz: The Dog that Looks Like a Panda and Took Down a Deer
This is what you get when you mix a Pit Bull and a Border Collie. Pure energy and love with no restraint haha. An amazing dog, extremely intelligent and EXTREMELY strong. The trouble was, for the first year or so of his life, no one bothered to train him - at all - so he just got bigger and bigger and more unruly. He loved everyone, but showed his love by bulldozing you and putting your limbs into his huge mouth (playfully, of course, but it still didn’t feel good).
This poor guy was having a hard time getting adopted so I sent him to a foster home with a really rugged tough guy who didn’t have kids around or anything too easy to destroy so that Chaz could learn some self-control. Everything was going great until a couple weeks later I got a call from Chaz’s foster dad telling me that Chaz had chased and taken down a DEER that had gotten into his yard! Since that sort of thing - though impressive - might cause some sort of publicity troubles for the shelter, this was a big problem. Luckily, Chaz’s foster dad had already fallen in love and decided to keep Chaz - FOREVER! <3
We have since checked up on them and Chaz is doing great in his new home with his owner who understands him and has the patience to train him. There really is a dog for every person and a person for every dog if you give it enough time and effort. Who could resist that Panda love?!
