Doesn’t that face make you want to be a foster parent?

Remus the Raccoon
Remus was my first raccoon rescue, and I adored him. I named him after Remus Lupin from Harry Potter because he looks like a little werewolf (don’t you think?). I couldn’t keep him long since raccoons have special needs and get aggressive as they get older, so I turned him over to a professional - but while I had him I was in love. I got him a stuffed raccoon and filled it with a hot water bottle and he would just grab onto it with all his strength - it was too adorable.
The picture was taken at the shelter. The poor thing seemed so stressed when I got him home I didn’t want to upset him with pictures. Plus I was too busy giving him a bottle every HOUR when he would CRY the most heart-wrenching sound you ever heard. Poor little orphan boy. Last I heard he was growing up big and strong, getting ready to be released back into the “wild.”
